Rice Cooker - Chicken Rice
This has to be one of easiest, most flavour packed recipes I’ve done to date.
The rice cooker does all the work, just add the ingredients and come back when it’s done.
INGREDIENTS:
400g chicken, diced
250g dry weight rice
5 cloves of garlic, minced
Thumb sized piece of ginger, minced
2 spring onions, thinly sliced
1 heaped tsp of chicken stock powder
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
METHOD
Wash rice until water runs clean, then place into the rice cooker with fill in the desired amount of water.
Place rest of the ingredients into the rice cooker and turn on.
Once cooked, give everything a mix and enjoy!
Note: you can keep the chicken whole like I did, but this was mainly for the photo. For flavour, I would dice the chicken as per recipe instruction.
Note 2: Most rice cookers will come with a cup, use that cup to measure the rice. Then, fill water to the mark that corresponds with the amount of cups used. It should be around 1.5-2 cups.
Note 3: Feel free to add any veggies you like to make a whole meal.
